at Meadowville Farm!

Come Join us for a fun summer of mucking stalls, fitting tack, riding horses, and horse showing!

Day camps will be offered at Meadowville Farm this summer beginning the week of July 1st. Times and days of the week vary as do skill level.

Beginner Camp: Focused on a younger camper, ages 5 to 10. Campers will learn basic horsemanship and ground manners. They will walk away being more comfortable and confident around the horses not only in the tack but also on the ground. See Dates Below.

Intermediate Camp: Geared to a slightly older rider, aged 8 to 15. This camp will not only reinforce the basics of horsemanship but also explore equitation and basic stable care. We will cover basics such as cleaning stalls, feeding, turnout, and worming. We will also explore different styles of riding and the differences in various equestrian sports. See Dates Below.

The Advanced/Show Camp: Designed for the serious young rider, aged 12-18, who wishes to learn the ins and outs, dos and don'ts of horse showing. This camp will explore the complex world of proper grooming, flat work, and over fences work to prepare horse and rider for competitive showing. Will also teach horse management and care including basic health, veterinary care, annual shots, showing, and dentistry. See Dates Below.

Horse shows are at Frying Pan Park www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/fpp/equest.htm
